1. How can I register?

In order to open a user account: Click onto « register » up on the right hand side of the screen.

After having chosen your preferred bookshop, you can enter your personal details.

Important: You have to be registered on the website before you are able to buy and download.

2. My account

My personal details	Possibility to adapt or change your personal details as well as the choice of your preferred bookshop.
My current shopping basket	Shows the content of your shopping basket.
My latest purchases	Shows the status of your latest purchases, including a link for the eBook downloads.
Inquiries to my bookshop	Shows your inquiries to the bookshop of your choice.

3. How to search for eBooks ?

In order to start a search, please enter one or several keywords under ‘search’ and click on « OK ».

Alternatively, use « extended search », in which you can enter more detailed criteria.

4. Availability codes and what they mean

Immediatly available	Ebook : immediatly available for download
	Readers & Accessories: in stock, available within 48 hours. Shipping costs are free of charge.
Not yet published	Not yet available. You can choose if you would like to receive an email as soon as article becomes available.

5. How can I place an order ?

As soon as you’ve found the eBook of your choice, click on « add to basket». You can then continue to search for other titles by clicking onto « continue shopping»

The content of your shopping basket is always visible up on the right hand side of the page.

To see your order in detail or to confirm and send your order, click on the shopping basket symbol.

The contents of your shopping basket are divided into several columns :

Please confirm your order after having accepted the general terms and conditions, chosen your form of payment and / or having changed your delivery address (if needed).

You will receive an email after every order confirmation sent.

6. How can I pay?

You can pay for your purchases online through a secured system (SaferPay).

The following cards are accepted: Postcard, Visa, Mastercard.

7. Means of delivery?

There are 2 different possibilities to receive your purchases:

EBook (EPUB, PDF,..) : As soon a your payment has been accepted, you will receive an email with a download link to your ebook.

Readers (Sony, Bookeen, etc.) & Accessories : Delivery to the address of your choice within Switzerland. Articles will be sent within 48 hours. Shipping costs will be free of charge .

Download a reader application

In order to download eBooks you must have a reader application on your computer which can read the documents or files. If you already have a Reader, the installation of a digital library will be automatically suggested when you install the Reader.

We recommend downloading the free Adobe Digital Editions application.




This application enables the reading and managing of digital publications. You can download digital books (eBooks) with this application and load them from your computer onto others (within legal limits). The application also gives you the possibility of building a personal library of your eBooks. This digital library handles the standard eBook formats including  PDF and ePub formats available on www.e-readers.ch


Adobe Identification

Opening the application for the first time, you will be asked for an Adobe identification (create an ID). This procedure will allow you to download eBooks protected by digital rights management (DRM), which will protect the works from illegal sharing with third parties. The great majority of digital publications available to buy on www.e-readers.ch and on other sites are protected by DRM. Without the correct application and without an Adobe ID you will not be able to read your documents on other computers or devices (Readers).

Online order After having sent your order on www.e-readers.ch, you will receive a confirmation email, containing the links for downloading your purchased titles.

=> You will find the links to the downloads also under « my account » or « my latest purchases » on www.e-readers.ch

Click onto the relevant link and your purchased book will automatically be downloaded to your Adobe Digital Edition library. Now you can settle down to read!
