But methodologies and best-practice guidelines exist to identify Chinese suppliers, to develop them, and to establish a global supply chain. However, the case of sourcing unique components from Chinese suppliers is not widely published in the academic literature. Unique components are complex from an engineering point of view, and they are ordered in low volume.
Based on a multiple-case study in the electromechanical engineering industry, the result of this thesis is a best-practice guideline for sourcing unique components from Chinese suppliers. The guideline addresses the involvement of different functions including quality assurance with the Chinese supplier, and it shows the different approaches the case companies take for selecting the suppliers. Also, the companies' production management is addressed.
The conclusion is that there are two promising approaches depending on the customer's re-quirements. One approach is to outsource engineering and manufacturing as far as possible, the other is to engage in a close buyer-supplier-relationship.

cleaning of natural stone surfaces and works at a wavelength of 1064 nm. The
discoloration of pigments and paint layers was documented by colour measurement.
Further the measurement of discoloration thresholds of energy density (of pigments and
paint layers) was a main part of the research.

However digital data acquisition equipment favour a digital representation of the analogue signal.
The digital representation of a analogue signal will effect the characteristic of the signal. Thus an understanding of the underlying principles involved in signal processing is essential in order to retain the basic information of the original signal.
The primary goal to use the Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) is to approximate the Fourier Transform of a continuous time signal. The DFT is discrete in time and frequency domain and has two important properties:
- the DFT is periodic with the sampling frequency
- the DFT is symmetric about the Nyquist frequency
Due to the limitations of the DFT there are three possible phenomena that could result in errors between computed and desired transform.

The DFT of a signal uses only a finite record length of the signal. Thus the input signal for the DFT can be considered as the result of multiplying the signal with a window function. Multiplication in the time domain results in convolution in the frequency domain, which will influence the spectral characteristic of the sampled signal. We distin-guish direct and indirect loops and show that the loop percentage is growing with the number of connection per client. For this reason our measurements show a re-duced number of reachable servents* from a single client on a per connection ba-sis. We argue that loops lead to a reduction in the number of reachable hosts. This im-plies a reduction in the occupied bandwidth from the Gnutella* protocol. Therefore the network is scaling much better than one may expect. In the second part we emphasize business opportunities for decentralized net-works and discuss benefits, challenges, market opportunities, risks, and threats for the four different areas of peer-to-peer computing. We come to the conclusion that peer-to-peer technology is offering great revenue streams in the future and that common platforms are needed to further push peer-to-peer into the markets. [...]
